If you're in Modesto, CA, and craving a genuine taste of Mexican cuisine, look no further than Tacos Vallarta. Located at 401 14th St, this vibrant taco restaurant is a beloved staple in the community, renowned for its mouthwatering tacos and burritos that keep locals coming back for over 15 years.

At Tacos Vallarta, you’ll find an array of delicious options to satisfy your cravings. Their menu features classic meats such as beef, pollo (chicken), al pastor, cabeza (beef head), tripa (tripe), and lengua (tongue), allowing you to customize your taco just the way you like it. Customers rave about their tacos 'with everything'—a perfect combination of flavor-rich ingredients that create an explosion of taste in every bite. The super tacos and burritos are also crowd favorites, although some patrons have noted that the burritos have become slightly smaller over the years. Still, the flavor is unmatched, making them a must-try.

The dining atmosphere adds to the overall experience—though it’s a food truck, the friendly service and lively environment lend a warm, welcoming feel. As Scott Hayes mentions, “Bring cash and if there are a lot of people standing around be prepared to wait 15 minutes or so.” That wait is well worth it, as many diners happily attest to the authentic and delicious flavors that Tacos Vallarta offers. The staff here are known for their geniality, always ready to help you with your order while ensuring you feel right at home.

Moreover, Scarlett Ng's experience perfectly encapsulates what Tacos Vallarta is all about: “Nice food truck for late night in Modesto. Very friendly owner/cashier. Food's really good at cheap price.” It’s this kind of genuine connection between the owner and patrons that turns a simple meal into a delightful culinary experience.

So whether you’re looking for a hearty super quesadilla, a quick tostada, or a refreshing can or bottle soda, Tacos Vallarta promises a flavorful adventure that’s affordable and satisfying. If you're in the mood for authentic Mexican food, Tacos Vallarta is not just an option—it's an experience you won't want to miss.

Been coming here 15 years, can’t beat the tacos (chicken and pork) “with everything”. Bring cash and if there are a lot of people standing around be prepared to wait 15 minutes or so.

I think this is the best taco truck around. Their burritos are so good, never dry. I like extra onions and cilantro on mine.

We came here because it had over 900 reviews and over 4.5 stars average. I don’t understand how. I was expecting better tasting food. Great service very friendly staff. Enough place to sit and easy to park and order. Great prices. Saw a lot of people come by and order while I ate there. 4 stars not 1 because the food was not for me but all the people I saw coming by were very happy to come and eat from this place. Will definitely come by and try again with a different order.

This is the best burrito downtown. Jessica's is second to this. Not open on Sundays but still the best burrito and price in downtown.

Nice food truck for late night in Modesto. Very friendly owner / cashier. Wish i could give them 10 stars to catch ppl's attention to come to support their business Simple menu for traditional Mexican food. First time I came here by google search for late opening food! Did not expected it's a food truck. Food's really good at cheap price. We got the trippa supper tacos (with salsa, queso, sour cream, cilantro). I always love the cripsy trippa. Unfortunately they don't have the frying pot. But she tried to make the meat as crunchy as possible per my request. Lovelyyyyy. The quesadilla's really soft and a lot of cheese. Dine in are right in front of the truck with some small benches. Feeling comfortable. Not street parking as it's busy street for big big trucks every mins passing by. You can park right in front or on the side of truck. I feel more comfortable to park right front of where i sat. As this area in the night somehow crazy I can tell. Make sure bring some cash on your road trip so you can stop by here to check it out! Pay after taking food. Everything was fine! Worth a stop by. Support small business.
